House of suns. House of Suns is one of the most fun sci-fi books I've read in a long time - the world building is absolutely top notch! It spans the entire galaxy and six million years, and there are so many amazing mysteries to unravel along the way. And the deep future tech even follows the laws of physics!

House of Suns really is something truly special, although for me nothing will ever truly beat Revelation Space, since that was the first of his I read, and Chasm City, for the trans rep and awesome setting.
